The fundamental idea of religion is to get connected with goodness. Religions are based on concepts, these concepts are given to lead a moral life based on those concepts. When we start to live along with that concept, as such, then we are getting connected with goodness. When connected to goodness then we are nearing to god. Goodness connects with god because, goodness have a prominent seat in his kingdom. Therefore the idea of religion is this connection. Firstly it connect mortals with goodness and then this familiarity with goodness make mortal connect with god. If you can't gain connection with goodness and god then religions are failure. In reality it is not the religions that become failure, only the person who use that religion ends up with failure, because his religious perceptive didn't provide him the much needed religious network.
Religion not only connect man with god, it connects people also. It act as bridge between man and truth. Religion provides the greatest network for mortals. For example, when a stranger tells you that he has the same religion as yours then deep in our mind there evokes a feeling of love. The stranger till that time has not become a friend, nor a relative nor a colleague, but still we feel that love from the inner mind. Why it is so? It is because of that powerful love network religion adds on. Religion connect hearts and bind mortals with the thread of love.
The goal of religion is not just to make a network of its own religious people. It should have a network with every one irrespective of religion, caste, creed, money, fame, gender etc. Religion should be the death bell of diversification's and differentiations among persons. It should put forward the message that “Every one is the same, so we should not hate each other”. If religions are making people widening each other with hate then it is not religion at all on the contrary, it should unite people by love. So when you love everyone irrespective of religions then you are qualified to brand yourself as a real devotee.
Every mortals are children of god, so why should we hate each other by religious diversification's? There is an anonymous saying- “The word religion itself came from 2 Latin words,re-ligo which means make connected again. Religion should become a great force which connect man & man and mind & mind”. It should act as catalyst for uplifting withering mind's. Love is the motto of religion and hate is the motto of anti-religion or religious fanaticism.
