Which is great- deeds or religion?

There is famous saying- “God don't look at your religion but look at your deeds. Your deeds will come under scrutiny than the religion you hold. There is no use of the tags you hold proudly in the name of religion, because it won't serve the ultimate purpose. Your deeds are the indicators of your life lived, so god looks to that than your religious tags. If you are concentrating only on religious rituals and ceremonies and forgetting to concentrate on human beings then you are in a wrong way. Learn to think about humans which are also creation of god. God created religion and also he created humans, so both are his creation. So why you take one and leave other? If you can't do good deeds then there is no meaning for works you do in the world.

Religion are not just a set of philosophical theories. If it is only theories then why they teach the mortal to cultivate great characteristics qualities like- sincerity, goodness, righteous, truthfulness, liberality, kindness, unselfish etc? For a thinker there is no need of such qualities, he just want to know what is the truth, so why religions teach those good qualities? Because man is a social being, so he should interact with other beings for having a smooth life. While interacting with others you should reflect those qualities in the character. Life becomes miserable without those good qualities. Our life will be overshadowed by evilness if we don't cultivate those qualities.

When we deal with others what we look mostly? How we enter into a venture?Let the other guy be your friend or not, relative or not, colleagues or not, the first thing we look is genuineness. When we think of making a business deal, you will check whether your partner is genuine, truthful? If we feel satisfied that he wont cheat you, then you enter into a contract with him. So is the case of making friends and life partner. No one like to marry a cheating partner or cheating friend. No one gives ears to cheating relative. So you are selling your character when you interact with others, thus character is vital than money or products.

You are entering into a contract because of genuineness and the moment you think he don't have genuineness, then contracts are broken. It is also the case with family ties and friendships. We enter into it because of genuineness and when you think partner is not genuine relationship vanishes. Can you imagine of a world where there is no sincerity? where there is no truthfulness?where there is no mentality to help each other? where there is no love? Can you afford to live in such a world? Even a thought about such a world will make you panic. Because it will be hell. So we can't relax with just believes, deeds are equally important for gaining god's attention.
